A Spectrochemical Determination of Sodium in Blood Serum*
ثبت نشده
چکیده
A spectrochemical method for the quantitative analysis of sodium in blood serum has been worked out and used during the past 2 years for routine analyses. It differs in several respects from the methods described by Thomson and Lee (l), Langstroth (2), and Duffendack et al. (3) for measuring sodium in body fluids. The first two require specially constructed sparking arrangements for exciting the sample; the third employs a high voltage A.C. carbon arc. In the present method the regular low voltage D.C. carbon arc equipment is used, with only slight modification (this is manufactured as standard equipment by the Bausch and Lomb Optical Company) and a Bausch and Lomb medium quartz spectrograph. For the sake of completeness and for future reference, the method will be described in detail, although some of the procedures concerning excitation in the low voltage D.C. arc between graphite electrodes are in common use and recently have been discussed by other workers, particularly Cholak (4), Cholak and Story (5), Owens (6), and Pierce et al. (7).

A new Kinetic Spectrophotometic method for the Determination of trace amount Sulfacetamide Drug into real samples has been described based with silver nanoparticles starch-capped sensor, by sodium borohydride. The reaction is followed spectrophotometrically by measuring the decrease in the absorbance at 347.5 nm. 1.0×10-2 molL-1 silver nanoparticles starch-capped sensor, 2.0×10-3 mol L-1 sodium...
متن کاملمقایسه روشهای پروتئینزدایی در سنجش نیتریک اکساید سرمی به روش گریس
Background: Nitric oxide (NO) is involved in numerous physiologic and phathophysiologic processes. Recently, further investigators have focused on serum NO determination. In our previous study, we validated a simple, cheap and rapid method for serum NO determination based on the Greiss reaction. Deproteinization is a necessary step for this reaction, thus, the present study was designed to asse...
متن کاملEffect of Sodium Bicarbonate and Sodium Chloride on Renal and Hematologic Factors in Patients with Glucose-6-phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency
Background: Sodium bicarbonate serum therapy is used for compensation bicarbonate lost and increasing blood pH in metabolic acidosis caused by severe anemia in patient with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency. The aim of present study was comparison the effect of serum therapy using two different serums (serum with bicarbonate and without bicarbonate) on some renal and hematolo...
